ICCS, Institute of Communication and Computer Systems is a non-profit Academic Research Body established in 1989 by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs to promote the Research and Development in all different research disciplines of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National and Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
ICCS and specifically the I-SENSE Research Group, is one of the founding members of the ITS Hellas Organisation and it is currently holding its Vice-presidency. I-SENSE Group is associated with the Microwaves and Fibre Optics Laboratory (MFOL) and with a number of other Labs of ICCS. The I-SENSE Group, consisted of 80 researchers, developers and administrative personnel, is carrying out fundamental & applied research, proof of concept development and commercialization activities across various disciplines, amongst which the Intelligent Transportation Systems, the Virtual and Augmented Reality and the Smart Integrated Systems.
I-SENSE Group participates in a number of National and European R&D and industrial projects and collaborates with European institutes and organizations to conduct research and develop applications and smart systems in the aforementioned sectors. In addition, I-SENSE has a significant presence in the organisation of international conferences in several areas of research and deplyment.

In the ICCS booth the visitors will be able to find out more information regarding the activities of I-SENSE Group in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems. These include advanced signal processing and multi-sensor data fusion algorithms, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and active safety applications, cooperative systems (vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to infrastructure communication), automated driving and automation of the entire transport system, electromobility and electric vehicles technologies (smart grids), mobility solutions for people and freight as well as the eCall implementation in Greece.
